The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
As Systems Engineer you will be an integral member of a multifunctional project team responsible for managing offshore related infield system development aspects of the subsea Wheatstone Upstream development, including interfaces with onshore plant, facilities, flow assurance, subsea, construction, installation, hook-up, commissioning and start-up, with a focus on specific packages of work.
The subsea system will initially comprise between 9 subsea gas wells and 3 subsea manifolds at field start-up, linked back to the main offshore production facility via a network of large diameter CRA flowlines. Diverless technology is planned for most intervention and installation activities. Extensive use of insulation materials is envisaged, and lateral buckling management will form a key part of the flowline system design efforts. Reporting to the SSFP Subsea Systems Engineering Lead, the Subsea Systems Engineer has responsibility for the development and coordination of the subsea system pre-commissioning. This role will principally be responsible for technical definition and engineering management and coordination of the following areas

• Development of subsea system pre-commissioning philosophy and sequencing of work for system components, such as trees, structures, umbilicals, flexibles, controls equipment etc.
• Ensure, in collaborations with package engineers and contract holder, adequate testing is carried out at; FAT ,SIT/EFAT ,Pre-load out tests; Integrity monitoring during lay/installation; Post installation; Post hook-up; Prior to start-up.
• Development, in collaboration with the operations group, of an intelligent pigging proposal / philosophy for the Inspection, Maintenance and Management (IMM) of the trunkline
• Develop, in collaboration with HUC / operations and flow assurance, pre-start up procedures to flush preservation medium from umbilical cores, MEG system, tie-in spools and structures at drill centres
• Develop the overall subsea systems function testing procedures (prior to introduction of hydrocarbons)
• Coordination and management of pre-commissioning related flow assurance activities including third party studies, review of Facilities generated documentation and regular interfacing with SSFP, Contractor and ETC Flow Assurance personnel.
• Provision of support to the Subsea Systems Engineering Lead

The Subsea Systems Engineer will work closely with the Subsea Handover and Commissioning engineer, HUC and operations teams. The ultimate goal and responsibility of this position is to ensure all pre-commissioning related activities are conducted in a safe, well executed and efficient manner. This position will be responsible for key interfacing between all stakeholders involved. Experience with subsea system design and flow assurance considerations from FEED to final development of Operational procedures is essential, as is a good understanding of subsea procurement and construction activities. Role may require adhoc offshore visits – TBOSIET is required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• 10 Years minimum experience
• Understanding of Flow Assurance design practices and general subsea system design. Experience with subsea systems pre-commissioning
• Interface management systems and coordination of engineering workscopes, including change management.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills, ability to manage engineering consultants to defined schedules and work collaboratively

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
TBOSIET for adhoc offshore visits – MSIC desirable
