The Company:
Our client are a rapidly expanding, independent oil and gas exploration and production company, with exploration licenses across the Middle East and Africa.

The Role:
This role is based in Kurdistan, Northern Iraq.

The self-motivated candidate should have tanker loading experience and is familiar with safety systems associated with tanker loading operations. The loading operator is expected to make a final review of all road tankers to ensure they are safe to load and travel on public roads.

Overview of Assignment

1. Be fully conversant with company safety and emergency manuals and procedures
1.1. It is necessary to be fully conversant with company safety regulations.
1.2. Complete understanding of environmental legislation.
1.3. Demonstrate willingness to participate in the preservation of the environment.
1.4. Sound knowledge of First Aid and able to communicate with medical staff.
1.5. The candidate shall be familiar with the hazards of Hydrogen Sulphide.
1.6. Participate in regular emergency drills and safety meetings.
1.7. Attend courses as required by the company.

2. Loading gantry, ancillary equipment and documentation.
2.1. Ensure the efficient operation of all pumps, ensure housekeeping in done to minimise environmental damage.
2.2. Ensure Seal numbers are recorded on documentation.
2.3. Ensure anomalies are reported and rectified without delay.
2.4. Actively promote cleanliness of loading area; demonstrate by example.

3. Equipment performance, monitoring and custody transfer.
3.1. Monitor equipment, report questionable performance.
3.2. Recommend and discuss remedies for equipment optimisation.
3.3. Promote performance awareness and monitor critical equipment regularly.
3.4. Familiar with custody transfer of oil and accounting procedure.

4. Testing equipment, safety systems and related tasks.
4.1. Ensure tests are performed in such a way that safety in not compromised.
4.2. Carry out integrity tests on equipment and ensure sound service. Specifically shut down systems.
4.3. Ensure safety systems are activated after testing and do not remain by-passed.
4.4. Perform periodic safety checks on safety systems, record and report.
4.5. Ensure safety documentation is kept up to date and in a presentable format.

5. Productivity and standards of performance.
5.1. Monitor standards, review and recommend improvements.
5.2. As a Team effort, develop ways of improving productivity and performance.
5.3. Develop and maintain teamwork with fellow employees.
5.4. The candidate shall be fully conversant with the company's 'Code of Conduct'.
5.5. Making or receiving unauthorised payments is prohibited.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Kurdish speaking
- 3 years in the Oil and Gas or Chemical Industry
- Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
