The Company:
Multinational Drilling Company

The Role:
• Prepare or review (and file) all Brazilian federal, state and local tax returns for all applicable taxes and statutory accounts.
• Review Intercompany Agreements and practices
• Ensure internal compliance with tax regulations
• Recommend and implement tax plans
• Review employee related withholdings and tax related issues
• Support Operations in the planning and bidding processes and setting of tax contractual clauses
• Manage local tax audits
• Propose practices for recording tax provisions; ensure proper documentation of the tax provision for internal control requirements
• Understand, review, implement, comply, assist in the development of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
• Review tax withholdings required for local and foreign vendor invoices
• Prepare tax-related financial statement disclosures
• Assist Houston Tax Director with tax planning and other projects as assigned
• Assist with procedures required related to compliance with Brazilian local content reporting

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of combined public accounting and/or corporate tax experience, preferably with an international and/or oil services company
• Extensive knowledge of Brazilian tax concepts and general knowledge of international tax concepts
• Knowledge and experience using SAP and Microsoft Office
• Confortable working in an environment that requires high attention to details, strong organizational skills, management of deadlines and ability to multi-task
• Oral and written communication skills in both English and Portuguese
