The Role:
Main Purpose of the Role

Responsible for the team of engineers for the scoping, specification and where required, testing to be able to validate and root cause NVH issues.

Main Purpose of the Role

1. Support and lead issue resolution.
2. Delivery of projects.
3. Problem solving.
4. Developing and maintaining specialist knowledge.
5. Ability to work within a team.

Qualifications and Experience

- Higher Engineering Degree or equivalent.
- Membership of a relevant professional intuition and Chartered Engineer status preferable.
- Ability to communicate at various levels across the company in different forums.
- Root cause analysis experience of complex low frequency vibration issues.
- Technical report writing for management level summaries.
- Workload balancing and good planning skills.
- Experience in chassis related problems and bush development.
- Understanding of financial limits within area of responsibility.
- Understanding of Health and Safety and capability to complete risk assessment in own area.
- Significant advanced knowledge of: Design and development; test and measurement; engineering drawings; software tools.
- High practical experience of LMS; TPA, Inverse matrix TPA, operational TPA and operational deflection shapes.
- Strong understanding of model testing and polymax.
- Proven ability to understand the limitations of root cause methods e.g. operational TPA.
- Understanding of problem solving techniques and methodologies.
