The Company:
This organisation is a large international oil operator, at this present time they seek to add experienced Senior Drilling Engineers to their technical team. This role will provide excellent development and interesting workload assignments. This is a high profile role that will involve important decision making, due to the size and presence of this client we can offer immediate roles (permanent) across Europe, Middle East and Russia.

The Role:
• To lead and manage the Yemen Habban field G&G Team within the Yemen Petroleum Engineering Department (geologists, geophysicists and operations geologists),
supporting ongoing early production and working mainly on further field development.
• To provide, to coordinate, to manage and to supervise all necessary geophysical and geological work, which consists of specific or integrative subsurface field studies,
static reservoir modeling, well and field development planning and execution and the capturing of all relevant G&G data.
• Provide all required geological and geophysical work and field knowledge to the other disciplines of development project team
• Assure and coordinate G&G data collection and compilation from producing wells, drilling operations and formation evaluation activities
• Supervise and coordinate interpretation of 3D field seismic with regard to structural aspects, fracturation, sequence stratigraphic framework and seismic attributes for
reservoir characterization purposes
• Analyse reservoir performance and propose appropriate infill well positions in suitable areas with your team
• Review and evaluate HC production enhancement or workover opportunities from existing production wells
• Manage the application of 3D static modelling techniques & approaches (like DFN modeling)
• Plan, supervise and support G&G input to multi-disciplinary field (re-)development studies and plans
• Identify and assess risks and uncertainties, apply a multiple scenario approach in the field development planning studies, thus leading to the maturing of the development
• Create drilling proposals with geological work programs and formation evaluation programs for new production or injection wells
• Supervise and guide drilling operations in order to assure achieving their geological and production goals
• Ensure business process and technical work process adherence, and Petrel lifecycle guide principles
• Report and present work and project results regularily and archive final results in appropriate databases
• Foster best practise approaches and introduce new technology in reservoir geosciences for local application
• Work within interdisciplinary project groups and monitor specufic project progress and costs
• Coordinate / liaise with PEPA, related disciplines, industry partners, branch and headoffice staff and contractors
• Plan and organize project assurance events, peer reviews, data room visits, workshops, partner meetings etc.
• Train junior or branch office staff in using integrative G&G reservoir techniques and software applications
• Be responsible for health, safety, security and protection of the environment at the workplace, participate in HSSE trainings according to competency maps, and
contribute to integrate HSSE into the company culture.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Master degree in Geosciences
• 10 years relevant professional experience
• Fluent in English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility and willingness to travel
• Capable to work independently
• Familiar with all relevant software tools, especially Petrel
