The Company:
Major operator is seeking a Technical Editing Assistant for a one year opportunity in West Houston.

The Role:
Support Wells Teams by compiling, editing, planning documents, procedures, templates and presentations. Provide teams with guidance on document and document revision control

Roles and Responsibilities - General
• Prepare and edit (format, proofread, style-check) documents such as well planning procedures, Basis of Design, Technical Position Papers, Root Cause Analysis, Investigation Reports, End of Well Reports, PowerPoint presentations, flowcharts and posters, as well as technical papers for Well Connected, OTC, SPE, etc.
• Control document versions and manage document distribution and updates.
• Use, and help others use, programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Visio and SharePoint, and answer grammar and formatting questions.
• Support the control of documents per established procedures (i.e., request document numbers; work in SharePoint; ensure completed documents are uploaded to DWDocs) and using the formal naming conventions and file structures.
• Participate in the development and sustainability of GWO document management process.
• Support the development/management of new document formats and templates, e.g., manage changes of document formats, and liaise with other technical writers to develop consistency across teams within the GoM Region and ensure the implementation of best practices.
• Scribe during working sessions, and update documents on-screen in real time during “live edit” document meetings, e.g., procedure reviews.
• Create binders, tabs, CDs and labels, work with printing company (A&E or FedEx Office) to produce and ship multiple copies/binders, and work with offshore team to ensure proper distribution.
