Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Technical specialist to work as part of the Engineering Department. The key responsibilities within the role will be to develop, test, document, commission and support the robotic content for a variety of industrial automation projects.
To be successful in this role you will ideally have strong experience of Robotics applications and have experience of using 3D Virtual off line programming packages.

As a Technical Account Engineer:

• You will be able to demonstrate a capability to strategically deliver Robotic technical applications within a defined customer project requirement .
• You will exhibit strong technical and commercial awareness of our clients and our own requirements with an ability to communicate at all levels within a business.
• You will be a dynamic leader with a capability to inspire and a burning desire to succeed.
• You will be a true professional who is comfortable with working as part of a project team and will have signigicant input to the technical content of the Functional Design Specification
• You must be able to undertake off line programming utilising 3D Virtual Manufacturing and programming products such as Robot Studio and other OEM modeling packages
• You will technically manage & coordinate robot feasibility studies for sub-suppliers to ensure capability of solutions.
• You will plan and drive the overall performance of the business through the use of Robotic programs to achieve the customized cell logic and all necessary functionality.
• You must also be able to provide optimum system performance for a variety of robotic automation projects in accordance with task/activities identified at Pre Project stage and the project cost and schedule.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• HNC level (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline – Electrical or Mechanical.
• Strong background in the UK robotics sector.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical & pneumatic circuit designs.
• Computer literacy – Minimum Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Demonstrable knowledge/experience of project management principles.
• Experience of Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Experience of developing, leading and motivating a teams

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience with robots, controllers preferably on IRC5 control platforms. Knowledge of older platforms is desirable
• To demonstrate an appreciation of PLC’s preferable.
