Our Client is one of the world's largest energy companies with over 95,000 employees in 100 countries around the world, providing its customers with fuel for transportation, energy for heat and light, retail services and petrochemicals products for everyday items. Our Client's brand has grown to become recognised worldwide for quality gasoline, transport fuels, chemicals and alternative sources of energy such as wind, solar and biofuels.

The Role:
The project is currently in the Execute phase and is due to start up around the end of 2013. The project operations team is a team of mixed engineering and operational resources with the following core objectives:

•Deliver directly or indirectly all operations readiness requirements for the project including training, maintenance and inspection builds, documentation, procedures, spares and operating contracts.
•Manage a preservation and equipment readiness programme on Andrew
•Provide operational input and advice to the project engineering teams
•Manage the transition from commissioning to long term sustainable operations through the delivery of the all processes, practices and procedures associated with first oil start-up and performance & acceptance testing.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager the Technical Assistant has the following main objectives:
•Manage the operations performance management process including the preparation of presentation packs and routine weekly, monthly and other reports
•Track and progress objectives, actions and other team and individual deliverables
•Ad hoc preparation of presentations, reports and materials as needed
•Provide general administrative support to the Operations Manager
•Facilitate and participate in team meetings.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Excellent team working communications and influencing skills to be able to collate and manage information from a wide range of sources.
•Self-directed and self-motivated team player.
•Proactive and organised with a strong ability to forward plan and anticipate requirements.
•Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook.
•Previous experience working in the oil and gas industry, preferably within company.
