The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide.

The Role:
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Typically BTEC or NVQ qualified with a minimum of 2 years experience in a technical or commercial support role. Includes experienced CAD operators who input technical documents drafted by others and support staff responsible for collating and managing technical and/or cost documentation and databases.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
Position could be NE or NW based.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gathering design and construction data for vessels and piping
• Comparing design and operational data from different sources to identify discrepancies
• Coordinating technical meetings
• Summarising relevant technical data from consultants and clients into an electronic database
• Allocating, recording and progressing actions
• Preparing reports

A full UK driving licence is required and you must be willing to work away from home own with minimum supervision. You will have good verbal and written communication skills and be computer literate. A BTEC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience in the process industries is essential.

Desirable Knowledge and experience
• Knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques
• Knowledge of non destructive testing techniques
• Experience in the Oil & Gas, Chemical or Pharmaceutical industry.
