The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
A Technical administrator is required to coordinate and support the Matched Pair teams( Purchase buyer & Engineer) in the delivery of strategy planning (Sourcing Commodity Dossier and Commodity Business Plan Process) to the agreed annual refresh schedule, having the skill for managing complex diaries, tight time scales and relationship building with key stakeholders at all levels within the business.

Analyse commodity costs utilising appropriate databases and support the development of cost gap closure plans. Co-ordinate the generation of commodity information for senior management reporting. Liaison for Purchasing and engineering teams to ensure TVM actions are promptly timed and implemented with minimal effect to production.

Co-ordinate cross-functional teams in identifying , developing and delivering material cost reduction actions, ensuring all areas of the business are fully integrated with the change. Support the development of supplier engagement and TVM idea generation events to generate cost and revenue opportunities.

Skills Required:

Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues and key stakeholders.

•Extensive experience of data manipulation, analysis and interpretation.
•Computer literate including "fully proficient" in MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint and some understanding of Google mail.
•Tenacity and steadfastness to follow through and complete delivery, using initiative to find solutions.
•A confident communicator with the ability to interact at all levels within the organisation.
•Good information presentation skills
•You will need to possess proven project support skills, including interaction with product development and purchasing projects.

Skills Preferred:
•Advanced Excel knowledge.
•Valid UK driving licence.

Experience Required:
•Practical experience of project administration .

Familiarity with change management and new product introduction processes.

Used to performing a high level of data analysis and interpretation.
Good business acumen and used to developing technical presentations to a high standard.
General knowledge of cost reduction initiatives, tools and techniques.
A good general knowledge of vehicle / component design and / or manufacture.

Experience Preferred:
•Practical experience of project management support.
•Facilitation of Design and Non Design idea generation events and generation of specific commodity cost gap analysis.
•Management of Purchasing databases to support the update of purchase performance systems.
•Development of engineering solutions with the specific aim of reducing the cost of the component / assembly.
•Able to develop project business cases with P.D. / Purchase / Programme / Finance and manage through to funding approval.

Education Required:

HND or Degree

Additional Information :
Although primary location is Gaydon the role may require travel between all sites (Whitley / Castle Bromwich / Solihull / Halewood)
