The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
Main Purpose:
Provide technical administration support for the EEG department within the Electrical Engineering Function, develop and maintain the team's engineering support services and processes. Also act as a focus and filter for project-related information, providing the team with key and timely input data and porting output data from the team's engineers into the projects.

Scope of Job:
Develop and maintain administration (technical and non-technical) tasks/processes within the EE_GE team and reporting through this team to the Functional Manager.

Carry out tasks on a daily basis within the following scope:
Compilation of team-relevant project data into a weekly brochure for circulation within the team
Develop and maintain a project KPI tracking system which supports engineers within the team in managing and meeting their engineering deliverable commitments
Manage the company Bill of Materials system for the team
Coordinate the Engineering Change Control system on behalf of the team
Manage the Bentley problem management system on behalf of the team
Coordinate equipment, tools and vehicle components procurement on behalf of the team. Arrange shipment of components and equipment
Maintain the Product Validation Database for the team
Raise vehicle build process deviation documentation on behalf of the team and expedite cross-functional approval
Raise Purchase Orders on behalf of the team and expedite their approvals. Monitor the procurement of the service or component and ensure invoices are paid
Driver training organization and monitoring of status e.g. to arrange medicals
Conduct risk assessments as necessary on behalf of the team and manage the Risk Assessment log (training provided)
Process expenses
Support the team in arrangement of travel -from 1-2 day trips to test event organisation for the team
Make meeting arrangements as requested and support with circulation of agendas and minutes
Provide IT and desk top support to the EEG management team when required. Able to create PowerPoint document and spreadsheets
Maintain the team's skills matrix

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Preferably an engineering further education qualification
At least 1 year's experience in an office or engineering environment
Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office packages
Excellent time management and organization skills
Dynamic and proactive self-starter able to work with minimum of supervision
Good communication and personal interface skills
A logical and analytical approach
Flexible (able to work extra hours as and when required)
