The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Prototype the Supply Timing maximise the availability of brought-out components ensuring robust parts supply for all new model programmes within the cycle plan with a known parts status.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks: -
* Manage parts portfolio and associated Supply Base to ensure parts availability is maximised for all prototype build events.
* Optimisation of scheduling parameters within Material Planning Systems dictating priorities to Suppliers ensuring their capacities are effectively utilised in line with build requirements.
* Check integrity of schedules and confirm GPIRS release is received and understood by Supplier.
* To authorise transport and arrange collections and deliveries with specified Logistics providers as appropriate, allocating reference number in register for premium cost freight.
* Challenge all deliveries promised after M.R.D. and establish reasons, escalating supply problems to the appropriate level of Supplier management to improve/maximise parts availability.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Good organisational skills and have the ability to multi-task; manage changing priorities whilst maintaining focus.
* Be numerate with a good grasp of Microsoft Office applications.
* Communicate well at all levels both verbally and in writing establishing good company/supplier relationships.
* Candidate must hold a full driving license and be willing to travel between sites regularly.
* Ability to perform well under pressure with high levels of responsibility.
* High level of self-motivation and determination together with the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
* Supply timing experience in Automotive or similar engineering fields
* Degree preferred but not essential
