The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Technical Clerk role to work in Vehicle Safety department. Based at Gaydon and occasionally at Whitley, the candidate will help with the administration of processes, process improvements, drive and coach teams to comply with processes, collate data and compile metrics, publish and maintain websites, help with parts procurement, cross-project planning, records management and digital archiving. Development and delivery of technical training materials.
Skills Required:

* Very organised, logical thinker, quick to learn.
* MS Office Skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and ideally SharePoint or other web authoring software.
* Has initiative and ability to drive and operate business process improvements.

Additional Information :
Self motivation and initiative required. This role is to provide a key support function to the Vehicle Safety team, and the candidate will be involved in a wide range of tasks. Subject to confidence and competance of candidate, the role could expand in several ways. It is a new position, and is expected to be long term position.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Administration skills, especially for technical subject.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Whilst no specific qualification is required, Education to degree level would be valuable. Prior experience of Vehicle Safety Engineering. Background in Sciences, Data Handling, Process improvement. Six Sigma and other structured problem solving methods, Process mapping. Very clear communicator; ability to influence others. Ability to create, manipulate and compare data. General PC hardware and software skills. Can project manage small projects.
