The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Project Analyst for Body Engineering Cost management group.
To collate & analyse cost data for submission to the Body Engineering Senior Management team to assist in future strategy decisions relative to costs.
To utilise system tools to ensure that the departmental system and commodity costs and commonality strategies reflect the latest level of data maturity.
To analyse data and expose gaps in data alignment across systems.
To help develop the process to ensure consistent reporting of cost control metrics across Body Engineering.
Produce standardised reports, databases and templates in Microsoft Excel & Access for use across Body Engineering and the wider team

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
PC Literacy including an advanced (demonstrable) working knowledge of Excel & Access (Microsoft Sharepoint, Project, Power Point, Word etc. will also be beneficial).
Excellent numerical skills and ability to clearly summarise large amounts of complex data.
Excellent communications skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate at all level.
Successful history of project delivery
Ideally degree educated

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
Engineering knowledge of Body Engineering system design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
Knowledge of BoM (Bill of Material) and WERS releasing system.
Familiarisation of Body Engineering systems and commodities.
Experience of cross functional working.
Proven Project management capability demonstrated by recent delivery on time & budget.
High energy levels and determination to succeed regardless of the roadblocks encountered.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
An ability to work to tight deadlines with often conflicting demands.
An appreciation of the lean tool set
Experience of working with Financial data, ideally within the automotive sector or adjacent industries, eg rail, aerospace, defence, energy etc
