The Company:
Our Client has extensive experience in deepwater Subsea, Umbilical, Riser and Flowline (SURF) and Life-of-Field projects. has They provide integrated services and we plan, design and manage the delivery of complex projects in harsh and challenging environments.
Many of their activities fall within Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning (EPIC) project delivery, where our experience is based on a proven track record of successful delivery.

The Role:
There is a requirement within the Global IT Operations team to assess and resolve a number of technical challenges within our application distribution platform called SCCM/SMS. This is an extremely large and complex environment to which resources and time will need to be allocated to address a number of issues that affects the deployment of applications within the Client estate. The purpose of this request is to acquire a technical resource that has extensive SMS/SCCM experience especially within multi-region (low & high bandwidth) environments to work along side our engineers to identify and resolve the technical issues and challenges that have been identified. The expected duration of the contract would be 3 to 6 months.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assess the SCCM/SMS infrastructure, agree and implement changes where required.
• Resolved software distribution and deployment related problems and incidents.
• Revise, improve and complete SCCM maintenance/monitoring processes and activities.
• The configuration, administration and support of SMS/SCCM features especially in regards with asset management, software metering, software distribution, software updates (WSUS) and reporting.
• Participating in the creation of Operational and Support documentation.
• Provide specialist technical support to colleagues via training/coaching where applicable.
• Report on status and activities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Specified Qualifications for position: MCSE, MCTS or MCITP qualification is essential
MCDBA qualified is desirable

Skills: Technical (including IT): Excellent demonstrable understanding of Microsoft server technology, including clustering, TCP/IP Networking, WINS/DNS, IIS, ISA, TMG and MS SQL and working with these in an enterprise environment is essential.
Excellent demonstrable understanding of Microsoft Active Directory is essential.
Advanced technical knowledge of SCCM is desirable.

Interpersonal: Demonstrable ability to identify, analyse and solve problems in a logical and effective way, including root cause analysis and actions to solve the problem is essential.
Strong communication skills and self-starter is essential.
Ability to communicate technical issues effectively is essential.
