The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
Prototype the Supply Timing maximise the availability of brought-out components ensuring robust parts supply for all new model programmes within the cycle plan with a known parts status. Manage parts portfolio and associated Supply Base to ensure parts availability is maximised for all prototype build events. Optimisation of scheduling parameters within Material Planning Systems dictating priorities to Suppliers ensuring their capacities are effectively utilised in line with build requirements. Check integrity of schedules and confirm GPIRS release is received and understood by Supplier. To authorise transport and arrange collections and deliveries with specified Logistics providers as appropriate, allocating reference number in register for premium cost freight. Challenge all deliveries promised after M.R.D. and establish reasons, escalating supply problems to the appropriate level of Supplier management to improve/maximise parts availability.

Skills Required:
Good organisational skills and have the ability to multi-task; manage changing priorities whilst maintaining focus. Be numerate with a good grasp of Microsoft Office applications. Communicate well at all levels both verbally and in writing establishing good company/supplier relationships. Candidate must hold a full driving license and be willing to travel between sites regularly. Ability to perform well under pressure with high levels of responsibility. High level of self-motivation and determination together with the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.

Experience Required:
Supply timing experience in Automotive or similar engineering fields

Education Required:
Good standard of Education and / or suitable experience in related Business area
