The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
You will be responsible for a variety of technically biased tasks, working to support engineers and managers. You will need to work with personnel from other departments and functions within the business, and possibly with external companies. You may be assigned to work in one of our specialised engineering teams including Chassis, Vehicle Engineering, Exterior Body & Trim, Interior Body & Trim, Vehicle Accessories, Electrical. Functional Trim, depending on your interests, aptitudes and skills.


Skills Required:
Knowledge of general engineering principles relevant to the design, development, testing and manufacture of technically engineered products. Working knowledge of systems and tools used to develop engineering solutions eg CAD, CAE, FMEA, DFA. Ability to work with technical and commercial information. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential to liaising with a number of internal and external parties, and carrying out a range of work tasks PC Fluent (Email, Word, Excel, Powerpoint) "

Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of the design and development of new automotive products. Knowledge of product development systems used in the automotive industry. Knowledge of quality tools used in industrial applications eg. DVP, FMEA, DFA, Robustness Knowledge of issue tracking and release systems eg. BOM, AIMS, WERS Knowledge of vehicle homologation requirements Working knowledge of project planning tools eg MS Project Good working knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly tooling methods and lead-times. Good working knowledge of materials used in modern vehicles ( eg. plastics, metals, composites and paint). Working knowledge of product costing and pricing methods"

Experience Required:
No prior experience required, but candidate must have appropriate knowledge and skills as outlined above.

Experience Preferred:
Experience of working in a similar or technical role within the automotive industry.

Education Required:
It is anticipated candidates with be educated to Degree Level in a relevant engineering or science based subject, or HNC/ HND with significant experience.
Additional Information :
Candidates must be flexible, and capable of supporting business activities.
