The Role:
Purpose:
to provide geological, geophysical and administrative technical assistance to the project Geologists and Geophysicists in the Exploration team.


Accountabilities and End Results:
accountable for the production of geological and geophysical maps, cross sections and presentation material in support of exploration reviews.


Primary Functions & Dimensions:

• Production of geological and geophysical maps, cross sections and presentation material as required
• Maintaining the Exploration digital databases for the relevant geological and geophysical applications (e.g. Openworks, Petrosys, ArcGIS)
• Coordinating with Data services to ensure digital database is updated with new information as necessary (e.g. CDA releases/updates).
• Organising and retrieving relevant information (e.g. Well and License information).


Organisational Fit:
an individual contributor role reporting to the New Ventures Exploration Manager. Functional guidance will be provided where necessary by the Chief Geologist and Chief Geophysicist.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• BSc degree in Geology or Geophysics or another relevant subject (preferred)
• Familiar with relevant Geological and Geophysical applications (Openworks, Petrosys, ArcGIS).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with mapping projections and applications.
• A willingness to learn new software applications related to data management and manipulation.
• Strong communication skills and drive to deliver results.
• Strong analytical skills with a practical approach to problem solving.
• Good time management
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities.
