The Company:
Our client (big foreign company in oil&gas sphere) opened positions for 3 Technical Audit of Seismic Equipmet Specialist in Western Siberia (rotation):

Fluent Russian &English srtictly required. Eligibility to work in RF is strictly required.

The Role:
The persons/s to provide the service will conduct an audit of the seismic contractor’s energy source and recording equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer’s specifications and Company’s requirements. The engineer(s) shall bring all necessary testing equipment to complete the audit. The technical audit is envisaged to be a stand-alone item and the engineer(s) are not expected to form part of a QC team.

Field tests shall include, but not be limited to:

o Recording instrument tests – distortion, dynamic range, system timing, etc;

o Energy Source – start time, synchronization, similarities, positioning & GPS system etc and the standard recommended Geoton and vibroseis procedures. Independent accelerometers will be provided by Contractor.

o Sensors – Distortion, natural frequency, leakage, etc; review of latest rotation/repair/test database. Analyze trends.

o Telemetry Cables – leakage, dynamic resistance, transmission loss, etc;

o Other Equipment – as required.

o Survey equipment, geodetic parameters

The audit engineer(s) will assess the competence of the recording crew and give advice and instruction where necessary on the latest instrument quality control techniques and test procedures. At the end of the field visit the engineer(s) will discuss the results with Contractor and Company representatives and generate a summary report for the Company, to be followed by a full audit report.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
More than 10years experience in geophysical operations. Appropriate technical qualifications and experience of performing technical audits on seismic equipment with knowledge of working in frozen environments and using both Vibroseis and Impulsive sources.

All personnel must be fit in accordance with UKOOA or equivalent medical requirements.

Preferably, QC supervisors and HSE will already have experience in the area. Fluent English and Russian, spoken and written are required. Some knowledge of Spanish is desirable.

-The roles will be based on the field, so accommodation will be provided by Company.
