The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Reporting to the Requirements Lead Engineer, SCS Functions & Systems, the Requirements Engineer will support the SCS Functions Teams in delivering requirements and specifications to their first tier control system suppliers Key Responsibilities. The successful requirements engineer candidate shall undertake various tasks to support the team through the systems engineering workflow from bid to delivery. Perform quality reviews on requirement specifications to ensure their maturity, following the internal processes (i.e. correct syntax, Doors attributes up-to-date, FMEA rating, reference documents informed, baselines detailed, etc.). Update requirement specification templates when needed. Ensure all requirement specifications are reviewed by the release authority, internally and by the suppliers. Ensure all requirement specifications are baselined, published and tracked. Organise internal and/or external (with suppliers) review meetings when needed and ensure the results are being recorded. Ensure each single requirement has a parent and eventually a child (i.e. a requirement has to be linked from a higher level requirement (parent) and in some cases other internal requirement(s)). Ensure each single requirement has been linked to at least one test that verifies and/or validates it. Report the global coverage of requirements and tests. Report the delays of the deliveries in good time to avoid risks on projects. Define plans with targets to improve the coverage. Exchange requirement specifications with the suppliers. Communicate the list of deliverables to the suppliers on a weekly basis. (i.e. Spec Tracker).

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
3 KEY SKILLS; Demonstrable ability to work with MS Office applications and manage large numbers of records in different formats. Ability to write clear concise and robust descriptions and instructions using unambiguous English language engineering terms. Strong communication and interpersonal skills - able to confidently network with team members and present needs and requirements to senior management. Comprehensive ability to work with MS Office applications and manage large numbers of records in different formats. Ability to work in fast paced environment - Strong attention to detail.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in managing system requirements using IBM DOORS or a similar software based tool. Knowledge of requirement elicitation. Knowledge in System Engineering and ASPICE. Trained in proof reading.
