The Company:
Our client is a leading global provider of technology solutions for the energy industry.

The Role:
•To take all reasonable care during the performance of their work for the Health and Safety of themselves and others affected by their acts or omissions. To co-operate fully with regulatory authorities and/or third parties to ensure compliance with applicable legislation.
•Demonstrate behaviour consistent with vision and core values.
•Support Projects in establishing and defining technical work scopes for customer and company owned equipment requiring manufacture and refurbishment at the Aberdeen facilities.
•Support the Workshop Group regarding any technical issues that may arise during workshop activities.
•Prepare and issue technical work scopes, ensuring that they contain appropriate instructions and information to carry out the agreed task.
•Liaise with materials/stores personnel on any technical queries that may arise during equipment receipt process of company and customer owned equipment.
•Support the Workshop Support Supervisor and Project Managers in general.

• Authority to stop an unsafe act or condition without fear of reprisal and with the full backing of Management.
• Authority to propose, direct and amend internal and external technical work scopes to the workshop, projects and purchasing.
• Release of purchase requisitions to the appropriate level to support purchasing as required.
• Issue of internal quotations, without review, to the appropriate level.

• Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures as well as statutory and customer requirements.
• Provide input related to work scope based on Customers requirements supplied from Projects.
• Generate and maintain Service Order Task Lists for active Service Order within the assigned project.
• Generate and maintain template task lists.
• Generate and maintain Task Lists / Service Orders for Variation Order Requests (VOR).
• Generate internal budgetary quotations, detailing workshop, sub-contract and procurement costs.
• Generate pre-job quotes at the request of the Workshop Manager and/or Project Manager.
• Generate and compile concise work instructions for 3rd party vendors and sub-contractors
• Coordinate and resolve any technical issues arising in the Workshop.
• Identify and document, test fixtures and consumables, where required, for ongoing manufacture and refurbishment activities.
• Liaise with Engineering when required seeking approval for any deviations from established working procedures or practices.
• Check and evaluate open notifications towards equipment and open engineering change notes (ECN)
• Provide feedback for improvements regarding procedures, methodology, task lists and spares.
• Liaise with the Maintenance Engineer regarding any maintenance activities required on equipment
• Attend internal and external meetings, to provide technical support for ongoing base refurbishment projects, as and when required.
• Liaise with the Workshop Planning Group regarding ongoing assigned project activities.
• Support QA Engineer in creation of customer Quality Plans.

• FKSL Intranet
• Engineering Database (IMAN)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Comprehensive experience in engineering, inspection and maintenance of Subsea equipment.
•Ability to conduct survey and collect information to develop scope of work for refurbishment / Overhaul of Subsea equipment ( Xmas Tree’s, EDP’s, LRP’s , Tubing Hangers, etc)
•Maintain dialog and interface with Subsea systems technical community including Engineering, Field Support, and technical committees
•Educated to a minimum of HNC in an engineering related subject or have extensive relevant experience within an engineering environment.
•Previous experience in a technical role.
•Experience in Oil & Gas industry (petroleum related rework business).
•Excellent communication skills.
•A positive and professional customer service attitude to work.
•Previous exposure to SAP systems and processes preferred.
