The Company:
Qatar produces 10 million tonnes per annum of chemicals, polymers and fertilisers, supplying and supporting the growth of a large number of industries around the world. The government is investing $25 billion to expand the industry and build a sustainable and diversified economy. The next decade is set to be the ‘Chemical and Petrochemical Decade’ for Qatar.

The Role:
To sustain and improve sales revenue/ volume identify new grade opportunities by assisting the Global Market Network (GMN) and Sales in addressing customer’s technical (quality, performance, specification, etc) and regulatory questions through both reactive and proactive engagement. This role will also support other product groups as directed by the Manager Technical Customer Support

Roles and Responsibilities:

Technical, regulatory, performance and end-use expert for the region and products assigned.

Addresses internal and customer enquiries related to specifications, product performance, new applications

Supports the GMN, Regional Sales Managers, etc in customer visits related to technical issues

Prepares product bulletins, MSDS, and regulatory information to support product sales

Address and resolves customer complaints related to product quality or performance and works with the Producers as appropriate to resolve these issues.

Assists the GMN, Regional Sales Managers, etc to prepare and where appropriate attends Regional conventions.

Provides product technical training to internal company and where appropriate customers

Supports the Manager Technical Customer Support in maintaining quality systems

• Customers (via phone and personal interaction) Producer technical staff

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Educational Qualifications:

- Bachelors of Science or Engineering. Polymer science preferred but experience in polymer is acceptable

Experience:

- Minimum 6 years experience in HDPE, LLDPE, LDPE preferred. Prior work as a customer or technical support engineer, business development engineer in the area of polyethylene preferred.
