The Company:
Over the years, our client has evolved from a young pioneer into an established international oil and gas, exploration and production company focused on Africa and the Middle East.
Our client’s assets are located in Nigeria, the Joint Development Zone of São Tomé & Príncipe, Gabon, Cameroon and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, comprising an excellent combination of oil and gas reserves and exploration opportunities. The Company now holds a wide variety of licensed blocks.

The Role:
This is a technical business support position focused on ensuring technical users work with data that is quality assured – correct, consistent and complete. Whilst the Technical Data Team focus on ensuring data is quality checked and made available to the technical community, this Administrator role focuses on project-level support, representing an important interface between corporate data and technical projects.

Upstream industry experience is essential as the role requires a strong understanding of the data, information and workflows that support an E&P company. Preferably, the candidate will have experience with industry technical applications including Petrel, IHS Kingdom, Petrosys and Geolog.

The key objectives of the Technical Data Administrator (TDA) are:
• Project Data Loading, ensuring quality assured technical data is loaded into the project environment correctly and consistently.
• Project Data Migration, assisting users moving data between applications to ensure data is migrated correctly and consistently.
• Project Data Administrator, assisting users with ensuring data of known quality is used in projects.
• Project Data Quality Control, research and resolve data integrity issues.
• Assisting in the preparation of data for delivery to partners, service companies and managing the incoming data following Data Management
process.
• Follow, maintain and implement data standards
• Expertise in data flow is also required including how the data enters the project space, is synchronized between the various applications and
project stores, used in the workflow, and how the data is published back to the corporate environment



The Technical Data Administrator (TDA) will support the technical project environment in order to optimise business processes improve overall business efficiency where possible. The TDA will balance the need for immediate local solutions and following corporate Data Management standards while collaborating with Data Management colleagues to implement Data Management solutions.
One of the specific challenges of this role will be to engage the subsurface technical users in following Data Management process and promoting the awareness of Data Management standards.
Due to the nature of the business and well operations, the TDA may be expected to work out of normal business hours on occasion to support user requirements. Additionally, the TDA must be prepared to travel internationally if needed by the business.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience/Qualifications
• Bachelor degree or comparable qualification in Geoscience and/or 3+ years of industry data management experience
• Must have worked in an E&P company or an E&P Service company for a minimum of 3 years
• Fluency in English required.
• Fluency in the French language desirable
