The Company:
Our client is a leading global oil and gas operating company.

The Role:
The O&M Mechanical QA Specialist reports to the O&M QA Team Lead and is primarily responsible for performing engineering and procurement quality assurance activities defined in and in accordance with the O&M QA procedures.

The O&M Mechanical QA Specialist is responsible for…

1) Technical review of Engineering Material Requisitions (EMR) to assure fit for purpose call out of Company specifications, vendor data submittals requirements and inspection and testing requirements for critical piping, mechanical, civil and structural materials, equipment and services.

2) Assuring implementation of O&M QA Procedures, Standards and Forms for…
-Third Party Supplier Quality Surveillance (SQS) Assignment, Planning and Surveillance.
-Technical review of vendor / fabricator submitted certification, inspection and testing documents to assure compliance with design and applicable industry code requirements.
-Technical assistance to engineering and procurement to resolve specification, code and other requirement issues.
-Technical review and advise to Technical Authorities related to requested deviations, waivers and non-conformances for purchase orders and contracts
-Maintenance of SQS assignment reports and records.

3) Provide assistance and advice to Technical Authorities in resolve of specification conflicts and compliance issues.

4) Provide assistance to Project Leads, Facility Engineers, Material Coordinators and Buyers regarding compliance issues, process control and SQS assignments.

5) Participate in supplier qualification activities to provide Subject Matter Expertise and advice to Technical Authorities and to PSCM Supplier Quality Management to qualify suppliers of critical materials, equipment and services.

6) Assist the O&M QA Lead in continuous improvement of QA processes and procedures.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
10 years experience within Oilfield Facility and Pipeline Construction Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
Degree preferred.
