The Role:
Description of role

This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to join the QSHE team based in Norwich.
This position is responsible for designing graphics and layouts, writing, editing and publishing safety documentation in support of the Southern North Sea operation. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with PUK Safety and Environmental Management System (SEMS) under supervision of the Technical Author and Safety Engineers. Operating on a Monday-Friday basis this is a position that requires attention to detail and the ability to work closely with the Technical Author and part of the wider team whilst also having the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities will include:
• Work with the Technical Author and Safety Engineers in producing and updating safety documentation
• Producing and amending detailed graphics, layouts and drawings
• Ability to follow company document style guidelines and regulation
• Develop, review, edit and validate data sheets relating to technicalities of the requisite subject.
• Have a good command of English grammar, spelling and punctuation
• Write and prepare safety documentation in an easy-to-understand language
• Check for style, structure, grammar, errors, syntax, punctuation and spellings in technical documentation
• Ensure compliance of corporate laws, procedures and practices in preparing technical documents
• Meet deadlines in preparing and editing documents
• Work closely with safety engineers to ensure accuracy of the documentation
• Liaise with Technical Author and safety engineers to identify potential improvements in safety documentation administration
• Communicating proactively with company personnel
• Work with Document Control Centre for publishing and archiving documentation
• Delivering and reacting to operational requests for assistance

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Some knowledge of the Oil & Gas Industry would be an advantage
• Strong organisational skills
• IT Literacy including proficiency with Word/Excel/Adobe Acrobat. Skills with Microsoft Visio and Adobe Illustrator would be an advantage
• Have the ability to learn new skills and drive for quality and excellence
• Be outgoing, inquisitive and have a proven ability for teamwork
• Strong interpersonal skills to be able to challenge others, communicate issues and manage change
• Be able to work unsupervised for periods of time
