The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
Technical Representative Pipelay
Rotation: 6/2

•Manages all quality surveillance activities on all Contractor’s operations with particular responsibility related to qualification of weld procedures and welders, field joint applications, N.D.E, and pipelay installation.

•Manage the activities related to ensuring the qualification of weld, NDE procedures and welders are documented to a level, which would satisfactorily comply with standard third party audits and meet A.P.I. standards.
•Establish a reporting system with Contractor to document that Contractor has complied with recognised standards for certification of welding consumables, compilation of reports regarding pipe movement, pipe traceability, weld and repair records.
•Ensure that relevant specifications, safety & quality standards and installation procedures are accessible and adhered to the latest revision issue date.
•Ensure full personal knowledge of the safety and quality standards specifications and procedures prior to commencement of the work and confirm that the Q.S. team is fully familiar with these requirements before working offshore.
•Assist in the compilation of responses to Contractor’s queries and ensure corrective actions are implemented fully and to the standard required in the contract.
•Frequently monitor the work and the working environment to ensure that Azeri Project and Contractor’s personnel are complying with the Contract specifications and procedures applicable for all production and storage areas for the work.
•Provide the Site Representative – Pipelay, with daily reports/updates identifying status of work quality, safety, team behaviour, areas of concern and suggestions for improvement.
•Perform the duties of Q.S. NDE interpreter / sentence approver-receiver when necessary, to allow intermediate shift breaks for the designated reviewer confirming sentencing of NDE results by Contractor’s Q.C. personnel.
•Assist the Site Representative – Pipelay and perform other duties as requested within the limitations of qualifications and experience.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•CSWIP / PCN 3.2, ASNT or SNT TC-1A Level 3 equivalent
•A minimum of 10 year’s experience as a Senior QS Inspector on pipelay barges.
•Previous experience of working in Azerbaijan (Baku)

Skill Requirements /Personal Attributes:
•Familiar with international recognised welding / NDE standards and QS inspection methods.
•Results oriented related to health, safety, and environmental issues.
•Self-motivated / team leader.
•Computer literate.
•Good communicator. Both written and oral.
