The Role:
•Contribute in Technical safety and Technical Working Environment matters for our vessels in the UK sector
•Be a local resource working in close relation to the operation teams in Aberdeen
•UK Regulatory Compliance Coordinator, understanding and knowledge of HSE and UK legislations
•Development and update of Safety Cases and Performance Standards for our vessels in the UK sector, understanding competence requirements both for internal and external support
•Ensure that major hazards are properly assessed, evaluated and managed in accordance with relevant statutory, group and corporate requirements
•Follow up general technical safety issues, with specific focus on safety and prevention of accidents
•Support the Aberdeen operation teams by arranging Hazids, Hazops, Risk Assessments etc.
•Initiate and participate as necessary in technical investigations and audits within area of responsibility
•Ensure that technical safety is involved when multidiscipline activities are undertaken
•Performing inspections and audits in cooperation with main office
•Participate in discipline checks on modifications and new revisions of relevant drawings and operations manuals.
•Contribute to experience transfer within the company.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Substantial experience within the UK Offshore Industry working with manned producing facilities. (Exposure to floating production facilities would be advantageous.).
•Experience in a Technical Safety role for, or representing, a Duty Holder.
•Able to work on own initiative remote from discipline support.
•Experienced in dealing directly with the UK Health & Safety Executive.
•Able to prioritise and multi task with minimum supervision.
•Passionate about offshore safety.
•B.Sc. degree from a recognised university in a related technical discipline or substantial experience in a similar Technical Safety role.
•PLUS a formal Safety Engineering qualification e.g. M.Sc. Process Safety, or similar.
•Must be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of current UK Offshore Installation Regulations & other relevant Legislation.
•Good written and verbal communication skills.
