The Role:
The role shall involve but not be limited to the provision of Technical Safety Engineering input associated with the Isolation, Decommissioning, Final Clean, Disconnection, Removal and Disposal of offshore assets and onshore plant infrastructures.

Description of Roles and Responsibilities :
Technical Safety Engineer and Project Focal point for Lloyds Register, DNV, with input to the interface communications with the HSE and DECC.
Provide Technical Safety Engineering leadership and guidance to a multi-disciplined engineering team.

Primary Functions :
Owner of:-
• PFEER assessments
• F&G Philosophy
• Hazardous Area Drawings
• Safety Equipment
• Safety Signs
• Escape route drawings
• Safety studies/reports
• Dropped Object studies
Input to:-
• F&G/ESD Cause & Effect Diagrams
• Assessing changes / impacts on existing SCEs
• Verification process (Lloyds)
• Safety Case Passport
• FEL reports
• Liaising with other disciplines on design, construction, fabrication and commissioning issues.
• Commissioning activities
• SIL review / assessments
Facilitator / Chairperson for:-
• MOCs
• Risk assessments
• SIL review / assessments
• HAZID reviews

Undertake Review of:-
• Construction work packs
• F&G/ESD Cause & Effect Diagrams
• Inter-discipline documentation
• Tender submissions

Critical Skills :

• Ability to provide Technical Safety Engineering leadership and guidance to a multi-discipline team.

• Good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Satellite Platform operations, layout and equipment.

• Knowledge of Offshore legislative procedures and systems of work.

• Ability to make decisions, meet deadlines and a track record of delivering results.

• Accuracy and attention to detail

• Desirable – Proven Record of Technical Safety Decommissioning Engineering within the Oil & Gas Industry, with the emphasis on taking live offshore platforms through the onshore and offshore implementation / execution phase of decommissioning from cessation of production through to removals and disposal.
