The Role:
To provide the company with specialist technical assessment, advice and guidance on activities and issues which may affect the integrity of onshore/offshore E&P assets, with a focus on the assessment and management of all types of major incident risks in particular in the areas of drilling, completion and workover activities. Key responsibilities cover the following areas:
• Provide specialist technical assessment, advice and guidance
• Support of the development and maintenance of the HSE and Asset Integrity Assurance Management Systems.
• Advise on various compliance queries.
• Liaise with Authorities and Asset Operators, as appropriate.
• Lead, manage and/or participate/advise in HSE risk identification, assessment and management activities.
• Coordinate the execution of various studies, reviews, verifications and assessments.
• Provide support and/or oversight with respect to Drilling, Completion and Workover activities undertaken by the company.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree in Science, Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Member of a chartered institute (preferred).
• Suitable NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent qualification and/or experience (preferred).
• Significant relevant oil and gas/chemical/energy industry related experience.
• Knowledge of the key technical safety related risks associated with different phases of an E&P development, with a particular focus on major hazard risks associated with drilling, completion and workover activities.
• An appreciation of the main HSE & AI issues to be addressed on the types of rigs/vessels used during offshore drilling, completion and workover activities.
• Understanding of UK offshore oil and gas industry and legislation.
• Understanding of Safety and Environmental risk modelling tools.
• Good audit/investigation skills and experience.
