The Company:
A luxury Automotive OEM based in the West Midlands. After continued growth & success there are a number of new exciting engineering projects underway and we currently have requirements for experienced engineering professionals.

The Role:
Very interested in candidates from Audi, Mercedes and BMW as they are trained to a high level.

Candidates with a background as a workshop controller or quality controller who is overseeing other technician’s work, that can identify issues and see that those issues are fixed to the customers satisfaction.


Job Purpose

Provide class leading Technical Support to our clients global Dealer network with the objective of:
•Reducing workshop diagnosis and vehicle downtime
•Eliminating the need for repeat Dealer visit
•Achieve a Right First Time fix
•Liaison with Field Quality Operations, Current Vehicle Engineering, Product Development & Manufacturing Teams
•Instrumental in reducing warranty costs with regard to effective utilisation of replacement parts and labour


Key Responsibilities & Tasks

Technical Service Request (TSR) Interface:

On a daily basis action all Technical Service Requests received. Interpret and qualify content. Where necessary contacting the submitting Dealer Technician to review data to enhance understanding

Concern Escalation:

Coordinate clear and defined responses through liaison with appropriate internal departments.

One to One Technical Assistance:

Assist franchised Dealer Technicians and AM Regional After Sales Managers and Customer support staff with technical enquires on all recent models.

Technician Coaching:

Coach Dealer Technicians in best practice diagnostic techniques to encourage a self-help ‘can do’ mind set.

Global Dealer Training Interface:

Liaise with Global Dealer Training to provide examples of knowledge and ability gaps that would benefit from additional training support. 

Dealer Support Visits:

Periodically visit Dealers to assist in cases that require direct client intervention. Where necessary liaise with the Product Development to ensure their support in these visits.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Degree level in Technical qualification
•A thorough understanding of a HLSC sector vehicle and it’s systems
•A full clean driving license is essential
•Flexibility / willingness to travel
•Previous automotive experience is essential
