The Company:
Our client are the leading independent oil operator in the North Sea with a dynamic management team who have exciting growth plans to develop operations further in the UKCS. This role will be embedded within the Development and Facilities team and you will be involved in a range of workscopes from the initial conceptual engineering through to consultation on projects and modifications on our operated assets and verification of our duty holder compliance and general operations support.

The Role:
• Fulfilling the role of Engineering Authority, Subsea for the company
• Providing functional assurance across the operated assets
• Supporting the Asset teams in the provision of advice in enhancing operating practice
• Liaison with government bodies when required (HSE/DECC)
• Participating in concept design and selection studies for field developments and preparation of all documentation for moving into front end engineering design
• Managing support contractors or internal employees in the delivery of discipline specific studies and reviews
• Assisting in evaluation of potential acquisitions and new ventures
• Problem Solving & Analysis and decicion making (Within own recognised boundaries)
• Business Process Awareness (SMS/MOC/Document Control/ Maintenance/Work Control/Procurement)
• Understand regulatory and legislative requirements (SCR, DCR, PFEER etc and discipline specfic)
• Ensure an operating and maintenance regime, which is appropriate to the levels of risk, is in place which enables equipment performance to be maintained and measured against agreed targets including approval of Planned Maintenance Routine (PMR) content and schedule amendments.
• Be responsible for amendments and the accuracy of information held in documents within the controlled document system.
• Provide operability and reliability judgements on existing equipment.
• Technical endorsement of modification proposals
• Management of specialist vendors where appropriate

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Related BEng degree
• Professional Membership
• MIST and RGIT BOSIET Training
• Experience of a client/operator environment and knowledge of the safety, environmental and operational aspects of their work
• Management of Subsea IRM works
• Knowledge and experience of pipelines, risers and subsea controls equipment design and fabrication codes and standards.
• Knowledge of fluid flow and flow assurance
• Good understanding of E&P surface facilities (process through to operations) and an understanding of interface requirements with subsurface disciplines and commercial to enable incorporation of multi-discipline results into the process engineering element of developmentstudies and FEED work.
• Safety/environmental awareness - understanding of legislative requirements
