The Company:
Our Client is a major petrochemical company in Qatar.

The Role:
To prepare documentation and ensure certification of applicable international standards and ensure compliance of standards in Muntajat processes; support the operations team with technical inputs and ensure its compliance in product movement; Technical vetting and recommendation for ensuring safety and environment compliances for any new warehouse or new product launch or new route / mode of transportation.

• Develop procedures for safe handling and storage of products.
• Develops environmental, health and safety policies and program in line with the Producer.
• Assist in obtaining certifications of all applicable international standards like ISO, OHSAS, Product Stewardship, Responsible Care, EPA, DOT standards etc. and administrative practices with in-depth knowledge on DOT standards in the handling & transportation of Liquid and Bulk chemicals.
• Ensure compliance and continuity for the Certificates
• Ensures that company observes and follows established safety guidelines and conducts activities that promote security and administer safety in loading and transportation of products.
• Assist in the organization of awareness regarding safety & Environmental issues through training
• Regularly studies imminent threats during the loading & movement of products by Bulk ship, ISO containers, Flexi tank container & Road tanker trucks and prepares counter measures and procedures for the safe handling of the products.
• Conducts safety inspections, makes incident records, and reports.
• Remains updated on important regulations and is familiar with revisions, trends, concerning best practices.
• Ensures all cargo is handled in accordance with prescribed regulations, instructions, orders and other written procedures.
• Ensures hazardous materials are properly inspected, documented and certified.
• He maintains Technical Specs and MSDS of the product(s).
• He will be the focal point for coordination and resolving supply chain related Product Quality & Service Complaints from customers and internal users.
• Maintain documents pertaining to IBC / Marpol & IMO.
• Communicate & interact with external agencies including customers, surveyors, vessel vetting agency & vessel operators on subjects pertaining to MSDS, product specs., Marpol & Imo regulations.
• Prepare weekly / monthly reports, statistics and presentations related to HSE, IBC/Marpol & IMO performance

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Chemical or Marine Engineering or equivalent with experience in Marine Vessel at Chief Officer Level.

• Minimum 6 years’ experience in handling and transportation of Chemical & Petrochemical Products.
