The Company:
Our client is a key energy market leader with a global presence with over 30 projects worldwide. Here in Australia, they are involved in one of the largest LNG projects with operations spanning exploration, production and downstream. With their world class project approaching the next phase, they are now seeking to expand their world class team.

The Role:
On behalf of our client we are seeking an experienced and qualified Technical Training Coordinator to join their Offshore Competency Team for an enticing 10 month maternity cover. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a world class LNG project and contribute your Oil and Gas training and competency knowledge.
As the successful candidate your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Provide support with the implementation of competency and training plan focusing on critical and essential competencies for the Offshore Project Commissioning team.
  • Manage training and competency administration and support for the Offshore Installation, Hook-up & Commissioning phase.
  • Conduct project inductions and courses as required prior and during Installation, Hook-up and Commissioning phase of the project.
  • Provide training support and advice to Vendor Administrators and Contract Holders.
  • Manage the External Contractor Portal with Vendor Administrators regarding competency requirements.
  • Create course sessions, update and record competencies, book, and cancel training within the learning and competency catalogue and Project Job Architecture.
  • Schedule and coordinate technical training for offshore personnel.
  • Records Management through External Contractor Portal, External Learning Management System and SAP.
  • Produce and manage training records and produce reports.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Essential vocational or professional qualification in Workplace Training or relevant field.
  • At least 4 years experience in a similar position.
  • Mandatory experience in coordinating and delivering training in the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in the coordination of competency and training requirements for Oil and Gas offshore.
  • Highly desirable experience in SAP myLearning and myCapability systems experience.
  • Previous experience in delivering permit to work system training.
