The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
An opportunity is available for a Technical Writer to join the team based in Perth. In this role you will be responsible for the following:

Author guidelines, procedures and work instructions to support the Gorgon LNG Plant operational activities
Provide editorial advice and assistance to Gorgon Operations personnel in the authoring of new procedures and work instructions
Perform visual and editorial QA/QC on Operations documentation against agreed guidelines, which includes reading, editing and formatting multiple document revisions
Provide the Gorgon Operations team with informal training and support in formatting techniques and the use of word processing applications
Contribute to the development of document control procedures and work instructions

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this position you will have:

A minimum of Year 12 completion
A minimum of 5+ years as Technical Writer or equivalent in hydrocarbon processing or resource refining industries
An ability to research and develop new business documentation from source data with minimal input
Able to seek out, coordinate and manage research/consultation input from available Subject Matter Experts
Strict adherence to corporate styles and writing guidelines
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks
Sound understanding of electronic management systems
Advanced skill in using Microsoft Word styles and templates
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint highly desirable
Certificate or Diploma in Technical Writing or equivalent is highly desirable

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience as Business Analyst highly desirable

This position is a 12 month contract, working an 8 hour day.
