The Company:
Our client an Oil & Gas Operating company are looking to recruit a Technical Writer for a long term contract position based in Qatar

The Role:
1. Works with various teams (e.g working teams, initiative leads, coordinator networks, policy and procedure authors) and various third party resources (e.g. consultants, contractors, auditors) in developing - related documentation. Activities include the following.

 Preparing drafts of procedural documentation for the Team and other groups implemenation. Reviewing drafts with designated users and revises until finalized / approved.
 Ensuring consistency of procedural documentation across the organization by confirming P&P technical requirements are in place (e.g. documentation standards, level of detail).
 Ensuring quality of procedural documentation across the organization by confirming management system standards are met (e.g. Framework / agreement compliance, common terms).
2. Works with various teams (e.g. Corporate Documentation, coordinator networks) to organize and administer the resulting documentation.

3. Coordinates and assists the MSD Team in the delivery / administration of management systems training related to documentation. Activities include the following.

 Training tailored for specific management system requirements (e.g. P&P writing, business process mapping)
 Monitoring attendance, effectiveness of training

4. Administers regular progress reporting related to documentation.

5. Carries out background research for decisions on management system documentation requirements.

6. Assists in the rationalization of best practice document management system methods / tools for use across Qatargas.

7. Providing technical report writing support in other areas (e.g. scheduling / monitoring of general implementation progress).
