The Company:
a major oil and gas operator

The Role:
Technical Writer will assist Company personnel with the preparation, review, and completion of several project deliverable documents in preparation for an upcoming formal stage gate review.
• The Technical Writer will review and edit documents to improve clarity and consistency. - Compile complete document(s) from multiple sources
• The Technical Writer will present the edits to Company in a clear and transparent manner.
• Company personnel will provide the technical content and write the first drafts of all deliverables.
• Technical Writer will revise the documents with the agreed changes and prepare for issue.
• Generate and organize transmittal letters
• Formatting of figures, tables, headings, captions, cross references, etc.
• Troubleshoot MS Word and other common IT issues (as needed)
• Work within tight schedules
• organize and manage electronic files/documents
• Interpretation and incorporation of reviewer comments
• Management of reviewer comments as they apply to document revisions

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Familiarity with the oil & gas industry is strongly preferred.
• Must possesses experience writing procedures, commissioning plans
• Possesses technical writing experience in areas such as: user manuals, documentation of systems or programs, training manuals, operational run books, installation guides, methods and procedures manuals, and articles regarding technical subject matter, e.g., products, systems, and facilities for technical newsletters or magazines.
• Excellent formatting/grammatical skills.
• Assembling of the documents to make it flow accurately.
• Ability to incorporate images in word documents, manipulating spreadsheets.
• Must be able to follow multiple comments in order to best portray what needs to be said.
• Needs heavy experience in Word and pdfs.
• Must be creative and able to refine multiple contributors information in a streamlined manner.
• Ability to work well with others as this role requires you to work with different departments.
