The Role:
• Prepare, monitor and expedite FPSO TELECOM systems integration, completion and pre-commissioning/Commissioning activities carried out by Contractor or subcontractors related to his discipline until FPSO sail away.
• Assist the FPSO TELECOM Engineer Lead in his duties covering all construction phases, including installation methods, prefabrications, construction, electrical and cabling, connections precommissioning and systems completion as related to his discipline. Attend meetings as required by his Management. Implement Manager Instructions and organize his inspection team accordingly.
• Organize daily meetings, attend tool box meetings regularly, give instructions to his inspectors, collect information and ensure that Company requirements are understood and implemented by his team. Assess and improve the efficiency of his team in his discipline.
• Coordinate the preparation of documents necessary to monitor TELECOM works such as drawings ITP’s, specifications certificates and working instructions for all TELECOM construction works. Check that the relevant documents are the latest and approved ones.
• Ensure the implementation of the procedures ,ITP,WPS,Specifications,drawings ,certificates ,Working & Safety instructions for all construction works related to his assigned scope of work
• Check & Liaise with the CTR for timely availability of suitable resources.
• Permanently visit and liaise with contractor personnel on site to keep the line management with all ongoing /weekly forecasted activities related to the work.
• Check that the appropriate documents are available on the site in the last revision.
• Anticipate the necessary documents and monitor schedule and program in his discipline. Review schedule and advise his Manager of drift and delays. Anticipate construction problems in his discipline, report to his management and participate in problems solving.
• Check the progress of the onsite work performed by the Contractor.
• Monitor and report daily progress and provide expertise and assistance
• Participate in weekly, monthly and ad-hoc meetings with the Contractor.
• Participate in technical reviews.
• Cooperate with Engineering Team, QC Team and other discipline Supervisors, Commissioning team.
• Assist in solving NCR’s Reworks and Site queries in his discipline. Approve NCR’s in his discipline and monitor the proper clearance of NCR by Contractor.
• Ensure that the construction equipment used in his discipline has valid certificates and is in good and safe conditions.
• Ensure that tasks sheets are properly completed and check randomly the RFC dossiers. Follow the associated punchlists clearance and ensures a smooth transition to commissioning team.
• Ensure that sail away is timely prepared in his discipline with correct identification and material location, preservation and sea-fastening.
• Participate in the preparation of As Built documentation.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by his hierarchy.
• To report on any problem encountered in his discipline to his TELECOM Leader.
• To prepare daily and weekly reports in his discipline.
• Promote the implementation of Project HSEQ management system and rules in all construction activities
• Stay vigilant and maintain continuous awareness of hazards and surroundings during construction activities.
• Participate to local programmes or initiatives to improve HSSE performances.
• Report to his Line manager and the HSE Manager, all unsafe conditions, accidents or incident, which may occur during the construction execution.
• Report to his Management on any issue he may face or observe and propose way of improvement.
• Monitor all TELECOM construction and tests activities in his discipline up to Sail away with full implementation of HSEQ directives.
• Monitor the quality of construction/installation and tests in his discipline and help solving construction difficulties.
• Monitor construction progress and report delays and slippage as required.
• Good leadership of his TELECOM Inspector Team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience: Over 8 year experience in shipyard TELECOM activities in Korea preferably for offshore projects. Technical degree in TELECOM discipline preferred.
• Experience in Quality control is required preferably supported by experience in pre-commissioning systems, OPERCOM procedures and ICAPS preferably.
• Available for workshops and subcontractors visits
• Familiar with TOTAL construction, pre-commissioning and QC procedures is a plus
• Language: Fluent English.
• Computer literate.
• Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills.
