Telecommunications Engineer - Design

The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
To provide assistance to lead engineers on a major telecoms project. The successful individual will need to be able to work on the design for multiple systems when/where required. This may include cover for lead engineers to ensure project continuity

Experience with the following telecoms systems required:
- Voice and data telephony
- Networking
- Radio systems (DTRS, NDB, AWOS, ARS)
- Security systems (CCTV, ACS, BIDS, FIDS, PSIM, ISS)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Managed smaller projects where the definition has generally been provided by others.
Provided a support role on larger projects.
Responsible for guiding the technical contribution from teams of engineers and designers and for routine design quality and approval.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Typically degree qualified and progressing towards Chartered Engineer status with up to 5 years experience in role/function or HNC/HND qualified with over 10 years relevant experience.
