The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
My client has a current requirement for a Telecommunication Project Engineer for a fly in/fly out position based in Onslow, WA, on a 28 days on / 28 days off roster, however, the contractor will initially be based in Perth for on boarding and training, prior to mobilisation to site.

The role is embedded within client's Downstream team to help enable the delivery of all permanent Network & Telecommunications systems at the LNG Plant. 40% Assurance Management Overall, act as Company Representative in interactions with EPC Contractor in managing the LNG Plant Telecommunications Scope of Work. You will work as an integrated member of a multi-functional Execution Team, responsible for overall safe execution of the project.

Responsibilities

• Manage assurance and verification activities with EPC contractor/sub-contractors’ performance at site 4 for all of the following areas:
-Temporary Construction Facilities, Fly/Pioneer camps, Construction Village, Permanent telecommunications, Plant Substations, Permanent plant operations and maintenance buildings, to ultimately ensure overall safe, quality, and timely execution.
• Monitor compliance with the HES Management Plan, technical requirements, construction plans, and permitting requirements. Role is accountable to ensure all responsible SME’s are engaged by the Subcontractor and Company to maintain such compliance.
• Oversee in an assurance role, EPC Contractor delivery of:
o Site circuit provisioning/ordering
o Any client requirement at construction offices
o Liaison with EPCC for both service provisions and infrastructure (e.g. satellite links and rental equipment; Telstra interface; cellular communications; equipment and applications required at site, etc)
o Entertainment, Security, Radio, CCTV, and other systems provided by Camp Subcontractors
o Services (e.g. Telstra, Foxtel, licensing, etc)
• Ensure IT/office readiness for all permanent plant facilities, including buildings, substations, etc.
• 40% Interface Management - Manage various interface relationships and stakeholders to enable efficient project execution and fulfilment of roles and responsibilities as agreed with other project departments. The role will act as a ‘conduit’ to facilitate IM&T deliverables and enable open communication between Downstream & IM&T teams.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, in computer science, electrical engineering or other technical area.
10 years of experience in telecommunications industry
Demonstrated experience with all project phases on a large project in the resource industry (EPC scenario)
Prior Oil & Gas experience, offshore and/or LNG experience with contractor utilization and interfaces
Experience with all phases of an MCP.
Cisco Certified Engineer or equivalent experience gained within an enterprise network (7 years +)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Network Design (LAN/WAN). Project and Program management of large Telecommunications packages within the resource industry
Excellent communication skills are essential as is the ability to work collaboratively as part of a larger team
Good influencing, analytical and problem solving skills.
Safety leadership.
