Our client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions the transmission and distribution industry

The Role:
My client is looking to recruit a Technical Support / Tendering Engineer who will provide a high quality office based service for drives and associated equipment within the UK Water industry.

Key duties will include:

• Preparing budgetary and fixed price tenders for UK water authorities, system integrators and other partners.
• Provide technical support for drive products to the water companies, system integrators and other partners. Includes product selection, basic harmonic calculations, assistance with documentation, etc.
• Liaise closely with water team members and sales engineers to provide a co-ordinated approach to project pursuits.
• Maintain records of enquiries and quotations in the appropriate database.
• Maintain the water pricing documents.
• Assist other water team members in the preparation of new framework bids
• Assist other water team members with the review of existing framework agreements (including, but not limited to price lists, framework manuals, commercial documentation).
• Together with the water team gather information and data from the appropriate databases to assist with strategic planning and framework submissions.
• Be able to present corporate, product and industry based material to customers.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Higher level engineering qualification (eg ONC, HNC, HND or degree); preferably electrical.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and take the initiative.
• Confidence to make decisions and take responsibility for large tenders.
• Basic working knowledge of transformers, motors and switchgear as well as drives.
