The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
A Sales & Tender Engineer for the Aberdeen based Marine & Cranes Services business. Within this role the individual will be preparing tender documents and provide technical sales support for the Marine & Cranes Services Business Unit focussing on the oil & gas market. The role will develop the individual within the Service department and deliver a broad overview of the business focussing on oil & gas, developing knowledge, skills and experiences. In this role the individual might be required to travel to customer offices, vessels and platforms throughout the world.

 Support the plans for the growth of within Marine Service by increasing business portfolio as well as new business opportunities (measured by contract performance) to meet the budget targets.
 Supports the delivery of the Service strategy and operate within the framework that allows the team to perform effectively and deliver the Marine Service portfolio.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
 Formal qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (i.e. HND or Beng in Electrical Engineering)
 Knowledge of Power Distribution Systems
 Knowledge of Electromechanical equipment such as rotating machines and transformers
 Demonstrate excellent customer focus and front-end skills
 Self-motivated with good time management and ability to prioritise in a dynamic business environment
 Good networking skills
 Results orientation
 Strong business acumen
 Strong administration skills
 Strong people skills
 Team player

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
 Knowledge and understanding of vessel operations and the importance of electrical (distribution) systems during vessel operations
 Knowledge and understanding of operations in the offshore O&G industry and the importance of electrical (distribution) systems on rig operations
 Background in a service organisation
