The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
Develop and implementation of Local Business Unit, Sales order capture strategy. Oversee bids and proposals ensuring alignment with company standards and targets to the highest quality. Responsible for leading, developing and coaching the department, delivering superior customer satisfaction.

• Assigns and allocates internal and external resources for technical and commercial bid preparation, production and submission. (Setup / appoints Capture Teams)
• Represents the functional team at LBU Management team meetings
• Ensures (with HR manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organised, staffed, skilled and directed. Coaches, motivates and develops direct and indirect reports within the department.
• Ensure group Risk Review processes are strictly implemented and adhered to.
• Implement tender screening process for all opportunities through Prosales database.
• Reviewing enquiry documentation, formulate and lead order winning strategy, local capture team appointments.
• Set and manage LBU / LPG bid production budgets, delivering efficiencies whilst maintaining the highest standards in bid submissions.
• Manage and maintain Prosales database ensuring opportunity status is regularly updated, accurate and in line with approved forecasts at all times.
• Drives and ensures knowledge sharing and business lead collaboration to ensure maximum value is represented in bid submissions
• Identifies partnership opportunities and participates in the definition of partnership agreements or joint ventures
• Develops, implements, and maintains customer bid support processes whilst implementing continued improvements within the department.
• Co-ordinate with all relevant PS and external disciplines in the preparation and production of bid definition and customer interface meetings.
• Review and approve bid documentation, including cost summary/precalc sheets, risk assessments and bid documentation to meet customer deadlines

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Senior Manager, experience in leading bid / tendering teams with proven results.
• Sales and Marketing experience
• Sound communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Self-Motivation/Self-Direction
• HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• MS Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
• Full and Valid Driving License.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Power Industry Experience
