My client

The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The role

• You will be responsible for growing the company’s market share in the UK for all LVP BUs within the region.
• You will working with the LBU Manager, Product Managers and Area Sales Engineers to enable each BU to meet their growth objectives within the region.

As a Territory Sales Engineer your main duties will involve:

• Creating and regularly review business plan for geographical area. Within this establish an area plan that maps out the customer base, effective travel routes and prospect potentials, normally based on a 4 week rota.
• Carrying out high quality visits to existing and potential customers.
• Raising the awareness and profile of the ABB Brand for Low Voltage Products in the region.
• Presenting the company in the best possible light to customers by exhibiting the highest standards of values, behaviour and dress.
• Building and develop client relationship and facilitate appropriate relationships across all levels of the organisation.
• Working closely with Regional Sales Manager to deliver a common objective of profitable growth.
• Working closely with both the Low Voltage internal teams and other parts of the company to maximise opportunities for all areas of the business
• Either independently or working in conjunction with Product and Sales Management for field visits as necessary, in order to generate effective quotations.
• Providing the optimum conversion rate to orders.
• Developing and implement the strategies and policies of the business, communicating effectively at
• all levels, promoting a ‘One Team’ view to the business
• Working closely with the Operations Manager and his teams.
• Ensuring that the CRM system is maintained and used correctly and is appropriate for the needs of the business.
• Completing forecasting and reporting in an accurate and timely manner.
• Providing product forecasting and competition intelligence.
• Maintaining all sales tools in a professional manner.
• Ensuring that the correct procedures are followed, when opening new accounts. Provide an intelligent link with credit control.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
As a Territory Sales Manager you will have:

Previous experience dealing with customers
Significant product knowledge and experience
A customer focus
