The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
The Test & Inspection Engineer will be expected to inspect DCS panels assembled on site to engineering drawings and bills of materials.

It is the responsbility of the Test & Inspection Engineer to power up and make safe the same panels to be handed over to Application Engineering for factory Acceptance Tests, whilst also supporting the Factory Acceptance Tests.

The Test & Inspection Engineer should also be able;
- To be able to produce Inspection reports to highlight faults and corrective actions.
- To work as a member of the Systems Design and Assembly team, to insure that the customers requirements are met as efficiently and timely as possible.
- To maintain test equipment loan and calibration databases.
- To insure that all work completed by the Panel Assembly workshop is inspected against the Engineering Drawings supplied and is then safely powered up and officially handed over to Application Engineering as per official procedures.
- To participate in the day to running of the Inspection Department

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Applicants for the Test & Inspection Engineer role must have experience in Inspecting electrical equipment to engineering drawings (preferably DCS panels)

The sucessful candidate for the Test & Inspection Engineer requirement must be computer literate, able to maintain spreadsheets, and communicate via e-mai.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- ONC/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Some form of Electrical Training/Qualification would be desirable (17th edition)
