Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.
Body and Chassis Structural Durability Test Engineer
3 KEY SKILLS
Practical experience of working in an engineering test environment. Proven history of sample assessment/investigation and report writing. Ability to manage / schedule workload and deliver in a timely manner.
Experience Required: Experience of working in a rig test environment in automotive, aerospace of a contract test provider. Practical experience of static, durability & environmental testing techniques. Practical experience of running/managing test programmes. Ability to liaise with design engineers, test engineers and fitters to support development of test rigs. Good knowledge of engineering first principles.
Experience Preferred: Any of the following skills would be an advantage.... Experience of electro-servo hydraulic control/operation. Experience of electro-sevo-pneumatic control/operation. Familiarity with calibrated mechanical and electrical transducers and data acquisition systems. Experience with MTS hardware and software (FlexTest digital controls and RPC Pro (Remote Parameter Control) Software). Experience with HBM hardware and software (QuantumX data aquisition system and catman Easy / AP / PostProcess software).
Education Preferred: Engineering degree preferred.
