Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.
"The Seating Development Engineer is required to work alongside the Seating project teams and the full service supplier teams to ensure the Seat system completes its development requirements according to the appropriate program timing. The responsibilities for this role include:- Requirement target classification and cascade and management Working closely with the full service supplier to ensure accurate and timely Design Verification Plan (DVP) monitoring during major development phases. To utilise Seat commodity knowledge to optimise DVP plans, utilising the most efficient methods of Design Verification completion. Significant Liaison with internal test departments and homologation / VCA to ensure certification requirements are met. Coordination and sign off of seat testing, test setup and results and report approval. Supporting Seating project teams in delivery of program objectives and milestones. Liaison with design specification authors where appropriate to ensure test requirements are represented in later specification updates
3 KEY SKILLS ¿ Proven Project management capability ¿ demonstrated by recent delivery on time & budget. ¿ Excellent communications and self motivation skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels ¿ PC Literacy ¿ Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc
relevant Development/ Test experience within an automotive environment ideally with seat commodity test / development experience. Personal attributes required include self-motivation and good communication skills. Computer literacy to support and maintain appropriate programme documentation
¿ experience in use of engineering tools ¿ FMEA, Six Sigma, problem resolution etc. Any person supplied should have a valid UK driving licence and meet the medical requirements of facilities Working knowledge of project delivery processes ¿ GPDS / FPDS / PRINCE2 or similar Working knowledge of change management processes Ideally degree educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline.

Additional Information :
Role will be Gaydon based but could involve periods of residency at manufacturing sites during the launch phases
