The Role:
As Technician in the experimental group of the Expandables Team you will be responsible for:
- Design, planning of test programmes in consultation with the research engineers involved
- Sourcing of materials, preparation of experiments and modification of test facilities where appropriate with support of team members and workshop engineers.
- Execution, evaluation and documentation of experiments
- Maintenance of the experimental facilities, support to updating of operating procedures, logistics and data management in co-operation with the other members of the experimental group
- Strictly adhering to the HSE procedures applicable in the labs.

Contribution to the execution of the experimental program of the team by designing, planning, execution and reporting of experiments
Liaison with suppliers of materials and services in support of the experiments
Maintenance and upgrading of experimental facilities
Liaison with members of the experimental group, research engineers of the team and other stakeholders on the experimental work.
Ensure that HSSE standards are strictly adhered to

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; VCA-full
- Good knowledge of applied mechanics; hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Experience with the use of high pressure mechanical test equipment preferable in a R&D environment is desired
- Good knowledge of mechanical test installations
- Creative approach and preparedness to think out of the box
- Disciplined and systematic way of working; ability to generate practical solutions
- Working knowledge of MS-software packages
- Knowledge of instrumentation, measuring and data acquisition systems
- Basic knowledge of well design/construction practices is desired.

- Hands-on and can-do mentality
- Pro-active and co-operative attitude; perseverance in a multicultural environment
- Loyal team player
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Able to communicate in English (verbal and in writing)
- Very strong commitment to HSSE and Goal Zero
