The Company:
A global Oil & Gas operator with extensive operations in the Caspian Region.

The Role:
Our client is currently seeking a Testing & Mechanical Completions Engineer for a 6/2 rotation in Georgia. The position will be camp-based.

Key roles:

• Act as COMPANY Single Point Accountable for all pre-Mechanical Completion leak testing activities of the construction contractor and its testing contractor in terms of planning, preparation, and safe site execution of Georgia portion of pipeline (including mainline, AGIs, and crossings).
• Review and input as required to enable the compilation of the Handover Certification Packs in line with Company’s System Handover Management Procedure prior to MC1 handover
• As a key member of the Georgia Project construction team, act in support of the Construction & Crossings managers as required.

Duties include:

• Provide HSE Leadership and work with the construction and hydro tests contractors & PROJECT team to deliver fully on COMPANY’s expectations on HS and ES.
• Review and assure Contractor hydro test plans for all systems in Georgia.
• Provide assistance in the compilation & maintenance of the project MC skyline.
• Oversight and assurance of Contractor’s hydro test & AGI system test approval.
• Assurance of System and sub-system limits including mark up and coding of P&ID’s in line with workpacks.
• Review and assure that all field preparations for safe execution of hydro tests are in place, working with contractors to maintain the readiness review program for Hydrotest, and proactively close gaps.
• Review and assurance of contractor compiled mechanical completion packs to ensure correct compilation and data requirement prior to commissioning acceptance.
• Review of engineering database downloads to ensure quality of data to support timely MC handover, and proactively work with Construction Management, and Main Contractor’s Completions engineers to ensure gaps are closed.
• Provision of technical support and onsite assurance of pipeline construction standards.
• Participation in meetings associated with safe and timely system handovers.
• Compilation of all necessary status reports as/when required.
• Encourage development of Georgia National personnel.
• Provide advice, coaching and training of Georgia National personnel.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• A recognised engineering degree and/or a minimum of 10 years experience of similar roles in oil and gas industry.
• Demonstrate previous ability in a client role to assure and oversee hydro test preparation and execution for onshore pipeline activities.
• Demonstrate previous experience of assurance roles in completions management
• English speaking & proficient in producing quality written reports in English
• Experienced in working & living in remote camp environments.
• An experienced engineer who demonstrates good communication and team ethos skills and have significant experience of working on major Project within the oil and gas industry.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Previous Experience on projects in Azerbaijan or Georgia is preferable, specifically in relations to cross-country pipelines scope.
