The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Thermal CAE Analyst - to carry out Thermal CAE analysis on all of our client programmes as required, including some model build and supporting or delivering process developments.

Analysis requirements will include one or more of the following depending on skills and experience: Powertrain cooling airflow analysis, component heat management analysis, brake cooling analysis

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Excellent understanding and working knowledge of external/ under hood vehicle fluid mechanics and/or heat management analysis.
CAE tool usage including Model preparation in CAD, Meshing and Post-Processing, particularly CFD or RadTherm / Exa PowerTherm is essential.
Good report writing and communication skills are essential
Successful history as a CAE engineer for a major OEM or supplier, or significant heat management CAE or CFD knowledge from a non-automotive background or academic / research environment.
Educated to Degree Level in Engineering

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Previous experience is key to this position, particularly in CFD Simulation.
Ability to use our client's preferred Thermal CAE tools (EXA PowerFlow and PowerTherm) and associated pre-processing tools (ANSA)
Experience of component heat protection modelling and analysis
Experience of CFD tools
The ability to present at a high level along with a good team-working approach to tasks
Ideally Post Graduate studies particularly in the area of CFD Simulation would be preferred.
