The Company:
Growing offshore drilling company that provides global ultra-deepwater drilling services to the oil and natural gas industry through the use of high-specification drillships.

The Role:
Assist the Senior Toolpusher in maintaining the sections of the procedures manual relevant to his operational responsibilities, ensuring that procedures are understood and followed, updated and modified as necessary.
Ensure that prior to carrying out tasks / duties a work permit has been correctly filled out and signed and that all checks and precautions have been completed as per the Company permit to work manual.
Carry out all planned maintenance on equipment under his control and ensure that pertinent records are correctly filled in and maintained. To work with Maintenance Supervisor in planning Scheduled Maintenance on drilling equipment, and to ensure that such maintenance is carried out in a safe manner, complying with company’s procedures and permit to work system. All such maintenance to be logged in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) onboard.
Take immediate action to contain, eliminate and guard against any actual or potential hazards to safety, health, equipment and the environment, which come, or are brought to his attention and ensure that all such hazards are reported to Senior Toolpusher or DRILLING SUPERINTENDENT so that lessons learnt may be passed on.
Ensure that all Company and sub-contractor personnel assigned to a particular task, within his supervision, have sufficient information, knowledge and resources to carry out the required task safely and effectively.
Manage the daily IADC drilling report and ensure the morning drilling report is correct.
Among others.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ten years of offshore oilfield experience in the drilling department.
Fluent English communication skills (oral and written).
Basic computer literacy skills, (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
Completion of all training and certification requirements for position.
